How we came to publish this one

This was our 2021 Christmas anthology. We always take a Christmas theme and ask people to respond to it and possibly subvert it a little.

The title

It worked. Yes there were hints of New Year resolutions but there were plenty of other resolutions as well. .

Some notes about the process

Debz and I each worked with half of the contributors. We worked on each text, suggesting some changes and picking up errors – grammar, spelling, awkward phrasing and typos. There was very little structural work to be done – after all we have selected the stories because they worked.

The cover

The cover shows a climber reaching the peak of a mountain. Many of the stories are about determination and about attaining a goal.

Some notes about style

None of the stories are too “genre” or too literary. We hope most of them will make you think.

Who we think the reader is

Many of our writers have a good number of friends, family, fans and followers. We like to think that our style is recognisable and we have a reasonable following.

We are currently working on the next collection – Evergreen.
