Rare Stories by Liam Bell

How we came to publish this one

We have published Liam before. He is also on the academic circuit and a senior lecturer at the University of Stirling. Each story relates to a “rare “ word from the Oxford English dictionary.

The title

A non-brainer. It is really self-explanatory.

Some notes about the process

Tis text went through the normal three stages of editing. It was tightly written anyway so editing was a pleasure. .

The cover

The tree on the cover makes for a strong image.

Some notes about style

The stories are rather literary in style. You may ask what they means. Well the stories make you think. The language is part of the artistry. If you read the final paragraph out of order it doesn’t necessarily give away the s tory.

Who we think the reader is

Perhaps also other writers and creative wring teachers will find it interesting, particularly those in the academic world. These are stories for the reader who like to be challenged a little. Each one beautifully illustrated the rare word.

What else

This is a rather short book and therefore one of our cheaper titles. Give at a try?
